Were busy here cleaning and preening and getting ready for turkey season. Our Kansas turkey hunting schedule looks to be nice and plenty of land with of course lots turkeys. This is great because we are not really stressed out this year. I'm sure I will get there at some point though. We start the 2014 fishing season on April 25 and looks like a good crappie and walleye season. Walleyes are in full swing and spawning on the dam right now. Lots of limits of spawning males. Unfortunately that's about the only fishing action at this time.
Currently our bow hunters are out chasing turkeys and doing well, lots of good reports. Shotgun turkey season starts Wednesday so Leon and I are going out scouting and anxiously waiting the first blasts of the season.
For those that are curious on the walleyes, expect the walleyes to take off in the main lake around April 22. Everything is a tad slower this year.
