We have had quite a change on Lake Wakonda. 8 more feet of water! There is some good news in this as I think they are about done with the dam project and we will be able to hold the water at level pool. That means this is great for this years spawn.
Now for the fishing report.
I was out with my Friends the Dormans and we really filled the coolers trolling at the causeway. Lots of crappie, whitebass and 2 keeper walleye.
Crappie's are still on the dam, marina cove in the evenings, early mornings and tons of crappie on the Causeway. There is a mudline but plenty of clear water. Lots of walleye in the shallows by Cawker City Park, Granite Creek and Walnut Creek. So all in all I would rate the fishing an 8/10.
Upcoming patterns are Catfish spawning at Granite Creek and Causeway and should be rolling by next weekend. We also have night fishing for whitebass as were almost dark of the moon.
We have some availability this month at the $75 special. This includes fishing with the guide and lodging.
God bless our troops.
Jeff
