Ice fishing has been very good! My buddy Josh Weidel and Jon Striggo set me up good yesterday. I got out there and was greeted with pre-drilled holes and biting fish. What more could you ask for?
White Bass were biting good for 2 hours and than died off. I went out around 4 PM that evening and caught around 25 fish and the last 10 were crappies. So all told around 50 fish.
Saw a 12 pound striper caught by the Franzens from Grandisland. The fishing is West of the causeway and you will see the scattering of groups of fishermen.
Jon loaned me a chartreuse swedish pimple that worked well. That night I put a small crappie jig up 12 inches from it and really caught the fish. Good luck and stay safe.
