We had a great 2014 deer hunting season at Rader Lodge. View Muzzleloader, Crossbow, Rifle and Archery results.
2014 Kansas Whitetail Muzzleloader Season Results
Muzzleloader season results: We had 4 hunters, 2 kills and 2 misses. That happens. Hot weather hunting is always difficult.
2014 Kansas Whitetail Rifle Season Results
We had 15 hunters in camp and 10 deer killed. It was a little tougher this year, but mild weather played a part in it. After the first 4 days of the rifle season we saw unseasonal temperatures ranging from 40-50 degrees, which made for some difficult hunting. We'll have to accept a 67% success rate with those kind of temperatures.
2014 Kansas Whitetail Crossbow Season Results
Crossbow was 100% kill rate. 2 hit and 2 dead deer. Good season for the crossbow.
2014 Kansas Whitetail Archery Season Results
The first week broke real hot weather and it was a real struggle. We did manage to knock a few down though. The first week in November was decent. We had 10 hunters in camp and 5 deer harvested. The next week we had 12 hunters in camp and 8 deer were harvested. The last weekend of archery season, we had 10 hunters in camp and 5 whitetail deer were harvested. We also had a few misses and passed on a bunch of bucks as well, which don't help the statistics.
